The last meeting of the Book Club at the library in Bogumiłowice was devoted to the book “The Mother-in-Law” by the Swedish writer Moa Herngren, which describes complex family relationships.

The relationship between a daughter-in-law and a mother-in-law is the subject of many books, anecdotes and jokes, but this situation does not concern just these two people – there is also the son and the daughter-in-law’s family.

The book shows what the struggle for influence, lack of communication, misunderstandings, and viewing others through the lens of our own expectations can lead to.

With each chapter, we discover more details and elements that build the image of each character, and once again we realize that no one and nothing is simply black and white…
