On April 17, 2012, Ms. Wioletta Piasecka—author of many fairy tales and stories for children, biographies including that of Hans Christian Andersen, as well as theatrical plays and radio dramas—visited schools in Wierzchosławice and Rudka.
Dressed as a fairy, Wioletta Piasecka introduced children to the magical world of her books. The author answered many questions, such as how ideas for a new book are born. Children actively participated in language games prepared by the writer and in a puppet theater performance. They also had the opportunity to “tell their future” by drawing a fortune from a magical basket.
At the end, Wioletta Piasecka awarded prizes and certificates to children participating in an art competition. After the meeting, a long line formed for autographs.
The author meeting and contest prizes were funded by the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol-Related Problems in Wierzchosławice.
