It began its activity in 1967 as the Biblioteka Gromadzka (Community Library).
Like other branches, it was established on the basis of a previously existing library point (run by teacher Stanisława Wzorek), which in the first half of the 1960s was among the best in the county. From the very beginning, it was located in the Dom Ludowy (Community Centre). In July 1992, it was moved to new premises, an extension to the existing building; in 2001, to the building of a former kindergarten, and later to a room located in the local primary school. At the end of 2006, the branch’s book collection numbered 9,557 inventory items. Between 1967 and 1969, the Biblioteka Gromadzka in Łętowice was managed by Stanisława Strojna, followed by Aleksandra Kostecka, and between 1981 and 1998 by Janina Karaś. After her death, the library was successively run by Anna Stolarz, Żaneta Donizak, and, since 2003, by Katarzyna Kwaśniak.

The library was established as the Biblioteka Gromadzka (Community Library) in 1962. It took over a collection of about 2,300 volumes from a library point that had been operating here since 1949 and was located in the PKP railway station building. It was situated in the Dom Ludowy (Community Centre), where it occupied two rooms. Between 1980 and 1993, it was housed in a private home (owned by the librarian, Krystyna Boryczka). Its current seat consists of specially adapted rooms in the building of the local Szkoła Podstawowa (Primary School). For many years, the library owed much of its success to two library points, which gathered nearly as many readers as the main facility itself. According to data from the end of 2006, the collection of the library in Bogumiłowice numbered 10,744 volumes, placing it among medium-sized rural branch libraries.
From 1962 to 1971, the librarian in Bogumiłowice was a local teacher, Edward Gutowski, who had previously run the library point. Immediately after him, at the turn of 1971 and 1972, the library was managed by Aleksandra Kostecka (who at that time also worked as a librarian in Łętowice). From 1972 to 1997, the position was held by Krystyna Boryczka, followed by Katarzyna Kwaśniak and Beata Gubernat. Since 2024, the branch has been managed by Katarzyna Kwaśniak.
In October 2011, the Klub Seniora (Senior Club) resumed its activities at the library in Bogumiłowice. The idea behind the KS is to integrate and support older people and to spend free time together close to their place of residence. The club also serves as a source of inspiration, exchange of experiences, and sharing of views. We hope that as it continues to grow, it will become a place for pursuing various interests. Meetings are usually held twice a month. As part of these gatherings, events such as Christmas Eve celebrations (wigilia), St. Andrew’s Day (andrzejki), St. Nicholas Day (mikołajki), and other special occasions are organized. Activities also include singing patriotic songs and Christmas carols together. Members of the Club eagerly engage in charitable work. However, the most important aspect is the family-like atmosphere and the opportunity to do something together. Everyone interested is warmly welcome.

The library was established in 1956 as the Gromadzka Biblioteka Publiczna (Community Public Library), taking over the collection of a library point that had been operating since 1948 in the private home of Julian Kordela. Its first location was a small room in the building of the Gromadzka Rada Narodowa (Community National Council). From 1960 onward, it was housed in private homes (including that of Bolesław Kabat). When the new village Dom Ludowy (Community Centre) was opened, the library occupied two rooms there, where it remains to this day. Until 1979, the branch in Bobrowniki Małe operated three library points. At that time, it also had the highest number of readers — in its record year, 1976, there were 730 registered users. At the end of 2006, its collection numbered 10,954 volumes. From the library’s founding until July 1990, it was managed by Janina Domas. After her retirement, Łucja Rzepka and Danuta Wrona worked there for less than a year. Since April 1992, the librarian in Bobrowniki Małe has been Dorota Katra.

The library was established at the beginning of 1997 from a library point, which by the end of that year was transformed into a branch of the Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna (Municipal Public Library). The initiators of the library’s creation were the Rada Sołecka (Village Council) and local residents Anna Bibro and Władysław Kocąb. Initially, the library was located in a closed kindergarten, and after sale of the property, the activity was moved to the Dom Ludowy (Community Centre) building. In November 2010, thanks to the initiative of parish priest Fr. Jan Urbański, the Rada Parafialna (Parish Council), and the Urząd Gminy (Municipal Office), the library was relocated to the Dom Parafialny (Parish House). This change significantly improved the operating conditions of the facility. The library was assigned a large, bright room. From that time, the library has also been supervising the book collection of the Biblioteka Parafialna (Parish Library), which was donated to the residents of Mikołajowice by Fr. Władysław Homerski. From the beginning of the branch’s activity until 2024, Beata Gubernat worked there, with a break in the years 2001–2003, when she was replaced by Katarzyna Kwaśniak. Since 2024, the head of the branch has been Małgorzata Dąbrowska.
